I’m a mom blogger, content creator, creative, storyteller, influencer, blah blah blah. Essentially I work at home in my pajamas trying to find the best way to share my story creatively one Instagram square at a time. Nothing glamorous, but definitely satisfying if you’re living that SAHM life. You can imagine my excitement when Christina Castaneda, who runs The Savvy Creative Podcast, reached out and expressed interest wanting to learn more about me and my story (I know what you’re thinking and yes I was just as confused). Someone out there actually wants to know my story?! Like the real stories behind the posted stories?! Sure, it would be my pleasure to share.
Just so you know I’ve never been interviewed as a mom blogger let alone on a podcast! I just assumed I’ll answer questions/talk about myself and then the editors will come in and make me sound good. NOPE! This content is raw and unedited so you’ll actually feel like you’re sitting with me at a boba shop. Hopefully that’s a good thing!
First things first, I had to introduce Christina, the podcast host, to my neighborhood’s boba place Coco’s. She’s never had one before so I gave her a brief Boba 101 lesson and started her off with a simple and basic boba milk tea. She loved it! Then I showed her where and how I do some of my rooftop photos and well…that became a mini-photoshoot session haha. Then we got down to business and started the podcast interview. Newsflash: Christina fell in love with me all over again and said I was exactly how she imagined based off of my Instagram stories! That’s always nice to hear because I really do try to keep things unfiltered and honest. What you see is what you get!
Christina had a lot of questions for me and was genuinely interested with all those silly hashtag projects I started. I never really shared with anyone HOW and WHY those projects came about simply because I didn’t think anyone really cared. However, Christina made me realize that there are people out there who are interested and can be inspired by the real reasons why I started #TadaCooking, #TadaKidsDiscoverArt, #TheHustlingMamaFamilyPortraits, and #TheHustlingMamaSelfCareJourney. That was interesting for me to hear, especially coming from a person who spent years as a content producer and writer.
Christina Castaneda is the host of The Savvy Creative Podcast, where she finds up and coming artists, bloggers, and entrepreneurs to share what it takes to make their visions come to life through a fierce world of competition. After years of working as a content producer and copywriter, she left her job to start her own business, Savvy Creative, to help businesses with their content strategy and copywriting. Her mission is to help everyone share their story, whether through page, stage, video or audio.
